(Founding Team of dox2U)
An exclusive interview with Sumeet Goel, Co-founder & CEO, dox2U by Privet Ventures
The way documents are managed at workplaces needs a phenomenal change. When everything is going digital, why not the documentation. In our conversation with Sumeet Goel, Co-founder & CEO, dox2U, we understand the disruptive platform that intends to bring a change in documentation management system across workplaces, be it small teams or large enterprises of any sort of businesses.
What is dox2U all about? What does it intend to serve?
dox2U is a subscription-based SaaS document management system (DMS) democratizing Document Management for teams by creating a single source for all documented information. A cloud-based and ready-to-use solution, dox2U was engineered using some of the best-defined practices in the industry to ensure a high level of information security along with a robust user-friendly experience.
With a monthly post-paid subscription on a pay-as-you-go policy, dox2U makes document management affordable, efficient and is ideally positioned to break silos of information instead of creating another one. The platform intends to bring all your information under one unified repository, making everything available digitally anytime and anywhere. Managing documents through dox2U makes compilation easier, accessible and hassle-free.
How is dox2U different from its competitors?
dox2U is a subscription based SaaS Document Management System based on pay as you go model, the first of its kind. It’s a ready to use product that requires no Capex and Opex for deployment, making it much more accessible to teams everywhere regardless of their size or industry! dox2U’s target is to make document management accessible to the SME market, an almost untappd space due to the extremely high costs associated with deploying and maintaining legacy DMSs. Powered by unique features like an integrated ICR engine for text extraction from images and a Smart Cabinet that uses dynamic filtering to help speed up the document retrieval process, dox2U was designed to create an unsiloed connected information warehouse, bringing an organization’s documented information into a single source of truth.
When did the company come into existence?
The first version of dox2U was launched in late 2020 however after multiple pilot runs, it went full swing in August 2022.
How many employees do you have?
dox2U is currently a team of 20 people creating the future of smart document management!
How do you get an idea to start this venture?
The disruptive idea behind dox2U germinated from an internal need of Sumeet Goel, the CEO & Co-Founder of dox2U. While they were moving offices from one location to another, the need for digitization of files and paper debt surfaced. Information was scattered everywhere and stuffed within thick cobra files; a very inefficient way of managing documented information in the 21st century. On initial scoping, there was no right-fit solution that could meet the requirements both in terms of ease of deployment and cost. This led to a more detailed analysis of the Document Management Systems (DMS) landscape and a niche was established for creating a do-it yourself (DIY) DMS: dox2U.
Is the company funded?
Not yet! The company is bootstrapped and looking to raise its first external funding round in the coming future to further enhance the technology and market the product prudently.
What’s your revenue?
dox2U is pre-revenue at this stage with a few Early Adopters on their 6 month Free Early Adopters Plan, which would eventually convert as paying customers. Their projected ARR over the next 1 year is USD 1.2M.
