The CONNAISSANCE technical symposium series is an annual event started in 2005, and in a short span of ten years has been highly successful in bringing industry and academia together by which the students have benefited immensely through exposure to state-of-the-art practices in the broad area of Mechanical Engineering. The central idea of the two day meet is to bring out the innate talent, creativity, innovation, public speaking skills, organizing capabilities, leadership skills and e spirit de corps of the students to the core so that they prove their mettle and gain invaluable domain and field experience required to succeed in their careers, be it: academics, industry, R & D, government sector, entrepreneurship, etc. In the past eight years, students from about 500 institutions from within Telangana and neighboring states have participated in this symposium. The highlights being the keynote addresses and invited lectures by eminent experts from reputed organizations such as DRDL, Satyam Venture Engineering Services, CYIENT Ltd, PUZZOLANA, NTPC, IOCL all from Hyderabad and MICO-BOSCH from Bangalore were well received by the audience.
